Howard - Week 4 printing negatives

In week 4 we printed out 35mm. filmstrips, to do this we needed to load the negative holder inside the enlarger with our chosen negative, emulsion side down. We enlarged the image to the required size. We focused the images with the aperture at f2.8, so it fully open. We stopped the enlarger to f11 to make image sharper. Next place the photographic paper on the baseboard, emulsion side up. We first made a test strip print at 2 second intervals, and developed, fixed and washed the print.
We picked the right density based on the test strip and set the enlarger according. Then we produced a 5X4 print of the images.
